A Reserved Matters planning application for the construction of the new Cool Oak Lake Pedestrian and Cycle bridge was submitted to London Borough of Barnet in January 2017. The application is expected to be determined in Spring 2017 and upon approval construction will begin in the Autumn of 2017 with a target completion of Spring 2018. 

The new dedicated pedestrian and cycle bridge will provide an improved link between the West Hendon development and the area to the west, allowing easier access and use of the surrounding open spaces.
