The Council will purchase the properties of leaseholders and freeholders on the estate at the time when their property is required for demolition.
Properties will be acquired through a negotiated private treaty process led by the Council’s appointed surveyors Capita.
To ensure that all properties can be acquired by the required demolition dates, the Council will apply to the Secretary of State for compulsory purchase powers. If granted, these powers will only be used as a last resort if private treaty negotiations are not successful.
It is the intention of the Council and BMLLP to conclude negotiations with all property owners before the CPO comes into force.
If you would like to discuss the private treaty process please contact Rosie Moore at Capita on 020 7544 2000 or email@example.com.
Leaseholders and freeholders who live on the estate and who meet the eligibility criteria will have the opportunity to buy a new build home under the West Hendon shared equity scheme.
If you would like to discuss the opportunity to purchase a shared equity home please contact Sheila Morcombe on 020 3535 4250 or firstname.lastname@example.org
